FriMusic enthusiast and UI Club owner Vasily Yurchenko and festival co-curator Michail Stangl (a.k.a. Opium Hum) open proceedings in Krasnoyarsk with the first in a series of talks open to the public.
A driving force in Berlin’s ever-expanding club scene whose musical tastes run the gamut from drone and doom metal to grime and avant-garde electronics, Stangl also works closely with the Leisure System label, the hugely popular online music platform Boiler Room, and until recently Red Bull Music Academy.

Opium Hum aka Michail Stangl – CTM co-curator, one of the people behind Boiler Room Berlin, co-organiser of the Leisure System parties and label, and all round progressive force on the Berlin club scene – nourishes his DJ sets on sombre, hazy drones and fantastical soundscapes permeated by deep and shifting rhythms to create what can only be called a wide-awake dream.

Vasily Yurchenko is a long-term independent music enthusiast and one of the key people on the Siberian up-and-coming scene. He's a DJ and vinyl collector, the owner of UIClub, Krasnoyarsk.
