Buttechno is Pavel Milyakov, a young music producer from the Moscow suburbs and one of the local rising underground scene's leading voices. He runs John’s Kingdom, a local community and label advocating anonymity («untitled united») and an anti-ego approach in music as fundamental principles of creativity.
Despite keeping a relatively low profile, Buttechno still manages to absorb some positive attention, whether participating in one of the local Boiler Room editions (and providing «spastic electronics and fireball ballistics» there) or creating soundtracks for European fashion shows. Pavel's debut record SPORT was produced as a soundtrack for Russian designer Gosha Rubchinsky's AW15 fashion show, and this synthy, spasmodic music proves to be as fresh as Rubchinsky's works. The world of Buttechno is dark, experimental and ever-changing; whether DJing or playing live, Milyakov puts audiences in a state of deep, self-reflective meditation using a variety of tools, which range from astonishing, post-apocalyptic techno soundscapes to melancholic house structures.
