WedThis double artist presentation features the Soundwalk Collective and Graw Böckler.
Soundwalk Collective affiliate Arthur Larrue will speak about the ideas and methods behind the collective’s sound art explorations while also giving audio and video examples from the collective’s wide range of works, from recent homages to David Wojnarowicz and Nico, to site and geographically specific sonification journeys.
Duo Graw Böckler will present their ongoing “Let’s Talk about the Weather” project, which takes the weather’s position as the lowest common denominator for a conversation as a starting point.
Supported by SoCCoS – Sound of Culture, Culture of Sound, a residency and research network engaging with exploratory music, sound art, and culture, both the Soundwalk Collective and Graw Böckler will be conducting research for further sound art projects during their stay in Siberia.
Graw Böckler is the joint project of Berlin-based artists Ursula Böckler and Georg Graw, who together and independently work across the popular formats of video and still photography. In collaboration since 1997 and longtime affiliates of CTM Festival, the pair specialise in making music videos and loops, experimental films, and unauthorised commercials.
Soundwalk Collective is an international art collective based both in New York City and Berlin. Since the year 2000, they have been sonic nomads, exploring and documenting places from the desolation of the Rub’ al Khali to the coasts of the Black Sea.
